SWB to Employ Dogs on Mondays

Moosic, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple A/New York Yankees) are taking Dollar Dog Nights to a whole new level this summer at PNC Field! The team is set to hire local canines as ticket takers, ushers and security in conjunction with the popular Dollar Dog Night at PNC Field. As part of Dollar Dog Night, fans can purchase $1 hot dogs, $1 lawn seats and $1 tickets for man’s best friend at every Monday home game.

“We feel with the popularity of our Dollar Dog promotion, the local canine staff will help dramatically in customer satisfaction to all the dogs in attendance at PNC Field in 2016,” said Josh Olerud, RailRiders Chief Operating Officer.

Dogs will be trained to sniff out the proper seat location and guide the fans to where they need to go. Also, the pups will be on the lookout for fans trying to sneak tasty treats into PNC Field.

An equal opportunity employer, the RailRiders are planning to bring “Caturdays” to PNC Field in 2017.

The defending International League North champion RailRiders open their 2016 season on Thursday, April 7 with a two-game homestand against the Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota Twins). For tickets or more information, please call 570-969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
