PULASKI, Va. – Kane Sweeney’s home rum his second of the season, keyed a four-run fourth inning that carried the Pulaski Yankees (13-9) over the Burlington Royals (12-10) before 1,408 at Calfee Park.
Righty Simon De La Rosa picked up the win with relief help from David Sosabee, Geoff Mundell and Brody Koerner, who recored his second save. With the win, Pulaski moved into a virtual tie for first place in the Appalachian Conference East.
The clubs will play Game 2 of a three-game series at 7 Thursday night at Calfee Park.
