T-Yanks blanked by Threshers

The Tampa Yankees were back at Bright House Field on Tuesday night to take on the Clearwater Threshers. LHP Chaz Hebert (ERA 3.60) took the mound for Tampa against Clearwater’s LHP Brandon Leibrandt.

Unlike Monday night’s offensive attack, the T-Yanks were unable to get any runs on the board against the Threshers as they lose this one 3-0.

The scoreboard stayed blank until the bottom of the fourth which allowed Clearwater to tack on a run after an inning with three errors by Tampa advanced runners to scoring position.

In the bottom of the 5th, the Threshers’ Brodie Greene scored off a RBI single by Aaron Brown.
Hebert’s night would be over after five innings, allowing six hits and three runs, 2 earned while striking out 5. Righty Gabriel Encinas (ERA 7.94) then took over for the Yanks pitching the next three innings of no hit ball, striking out 2.
