T-Yanks shutout by Jays 4-0

The Tampa Yankees were shutout by the Dunedin Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon 4-0 at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. LHP Dan Camarena (ERA 2.35) worked the first six innings for Tampa allowing 4 hits and 1 run; walking five.

With just a one run deficit, the T-Yanks were unable to get anything started offensively LHP Ramon Benjamin (ERA 1.93) pitched the seventh with no hits allowed but RHP Alex Smith (ERA 2.51) would allow three more runs by the Jays for a commanding late game rally.

The T-Yanks had just four hits, one from Dante Bichette, two from Matt Snyder and one from Trent Garrison.

With this loss the T-Yanks are now (10-6) on the second half of the season, ted for second with the Daytona Cubs, one and half games out of first place Brevard County. Camarena now falls to .500 (5-5) on the season. Conner Kendrick (ERA 4.50, 3-4) will take the start for the Yanks on Monday night against the Dunedin Blue Jays.
