Tampa Gets Walk Offed

Key Story:

Manny Banuelos started the game for Tampa and went his normal three innings.  He struck out two batters while allowing a hit and a walk.  The Yankees are only letting Banuelos go three innings right now on his way back from Tommy John surgery.   Looking at Banuelos’ numbers you would like to see him get the ball on the ground more as in just this game he only got one ground ball out compared to five flyball outs. It seems his control doesn’t seem to be all the way back but that will come.

Captain Clutch of the Game:

Zach Wilson had the best game.  He went four for four with a home run and a double.  The first baseman who just got sent down from Trenton seemed to take the demotion out on the baseball.

Golden Sombrero of the Game:

James Pazos gets this reward as he gave up two runs in the ninth to let Lakeland walk off.  Not how you want to be finishing a game.

Up Next:

Brett Gerritse goes against Lakeland tomorrow at seven pm.
