[Tampa Yankees Preview] Mateo Leading Off, Alvarez at First in Opener

While James Kapreilian was placed on the disabled list earlier today the Tampa Yankees will still have a formidable pitcher on the hill when Jordan Montgomery takes the hill against the Lakeland Flying Tigers.

Starting Lineup:

2. Kyle Holder – 3B
3. Trey Amburgey – LF
4.  Matt Snyder – DH
5. Tito Polo – CF
6. Nick Solak – 2B
7. Mandy Alvarez – 1B
8. Jorge Saez – C

10. Jordan Montgomery – LHP

Notes:

• Jorge Mateo is leading off for the Tampa Yankees playing shortstop, but throughout this season he will also see time in centerfield.
• Kyle Holder is playing third base, he was drafted as a shortstop but played both short and second base last season for the RiverDogs.  He is looking to continue the progress he made at the plate he made last season when he hit .290 in 88 games.
• Mandy Alvarez is getting the start at first base after being a third baseman in his first professional season with the Staten Island Yankees and Charleston RiverDogs.
• Power-hitting outfielder Jhalan Jackson is absent from the opening day lineup.
• Chad Green will relieve Montgomery.
