Pinstripe Perspective is Looking for New Writers!

Pinstripe Perspective is looking for writers to join the team for the 2022 MLB Season! This is an opportunity for anyone looking for a platform to showcase their writing and baseball acumen.

  • Ability to produce clean and interesting analysis on a variety of baseball-related topics
  • Ability to support arguments with stats and facts, not just opinion
  • Passion for and strong knowledge of Major League Baseball and the Yankees

  • Write articles on series previews and recaps, transactions, and other Yankees and MLB news when available
  • Create unique player-focused content using publicly available data (e.g. Is it too early to panic about DJ LeMahieu’s early season struggles?)
  • Feature in Pinstripe Perspective’s audio formats (Podcast and Twitter Spaces)
  • Actively participate in the creative process for all of Pinstripe Perspective’s content

If interested, please email Robert Coles at robertcoles28@gmail.com (please make the subject line your first name and last name followed by ‘Pinstripe Perspective application’) with an attached resume and a sample article responding to the below prompt:

In approximately 500-750 words, please provide your opinion on the Yankees’ recent trade with the Minnesota Twins in which they acquired 3B John Donaldson, SS Isiah Kiner-Falefa and C Ben Rortvedt in exchange for Gio Urshela and Gary Sanchez. Preferred resources are watching video, Baseball Savant, Baseball Reference and FanGraphs.
