Three Current Yankees Prospects, One Former Named IL Top Prospects List

Chance Adams (Cheryl Pursell)

Baseball America released their annual Top 20 International League Prospects list yesterday, and four New York Yankees prospects found themselves among the best the league had to offer.  One prospect, Gleyber Torres, did not qualify for the list.

Chance Adams was the top Yankee prospect on the list, coming in at #9.  The 23-year old right-handed pitcher was impressive with an 11-5 record and a 2.89 ERA over 21 games at the games highest level.  The converted reliever limited opposing hitters to just a .197 batting average and struck out 103 batters in 115 innings of work.

The Next Yankee on the list was third baseman Miguel Andujar at #15.  The 22-year old had 227 at-bats in the league and hit for a .317/.364/.502 slash line.  While he excelled at the plate, he still has some troubles in the field, committing 17 errors in 115 games.

Following him is outfielder Clint Frazier at #16.  Frazier, 23, hit .256/.344/.473 in 273 at-bats with the RailRiders.  On July 1, he was promoted to the big leagues and made his MLB debut with the Yankees.  In 33 games, 123 at-bats, in the bigs he is hitting .236/.269/.455.

Though he was traded as part of the Sonny Gray deal, outfielder Dustin Fowler also made the list at #17.  Prior to his call-up to the big leagues on June 29, he hit .293/.329/.542 over 297 at bats.
