Three GCL Games, Only One Win

Yankee Team One: Game One

Key Story:

The team went into extra innings yesterday and it was suspended because of weather.  It was picked up today and the Phillies beat them in the 12th inning.

Bichette/Katoh Award:
Dalton Smith went two for four with a double, an RBI and a walk.

Notes:

The pitchers really dominated as they struck out ten batters during the twelve innings.

Team One Game two:

Key Story:

When a team goes hitless with runners in scoring position and they still win it’s always a good game.  They did have a lot of stikeouts as a pitching staff.

Bichette/Katoh Award:

Drew Bridges went two for three with two walks and a run scored.

Yankees Two:

Key Story:

The first two guys out of the rotation got destroyed as they gave up nine runs in five and two thirds inning.  Hard to win games like that.

Bichette/Katoh Award:

Rainiero Coa went two for three with a double and run scored after pinch hitting for Jake Hernandez
