Multiple sources confirmed to Pinstriped Prospects on early Monday morning that 19-year old highly-touted right-hander Deivi Garcia has been promoted to Trenton.
Garcia had dominated Florida State League competition in four starts for Tampa in 2019, holding hitters to a .215 batting average while fanning 33 in 17 innings of work over four starts. Ranked as our 4th overall prospect on the Pinstriped Prospects Top-100 list, Garcia is coming off of a stellar 2018 campaign that saw him ascend through three levels of the system, posting a cumulative 2.55 ERA with 105 strikeouts in a career-high 74 innings. Opposition hit just .189 against the Dominican-native.
