Tyler Austin to Begin Rehabilitation Assignment

Joel Sherman of the New York Post was the first report that New York Yankees Outfielder/First Basemen Tyler Austin will begin a rehabilitation assignment beginning today, August 1, 2017 in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple A).

Austin was placed on the disabled list (DL) for the second time this season on June 29th with a right hamstring bruise. His initial injury was a fractured his ankle and he was subsequently placed on the DL on April 2nd.

The ‘Baby Bomber’ has only appeared in four games this season for New York.
