Webb Tosses Scoreless Inning, Sanchez Named Hitter of the Week

Only one Yankees prospect played in the game yesterday for the Surprise Saguaros, that was left-handed relief pitcher Tyler Webb.  Webb came into the game in the top of the eighth inning needing only 8 pitches to get out of the inning.  He struck out the first batter he faced before inducing a fly out and a ground out to end the inning.

Meanwhile catcher Gary Sanchez earned Arizona Fall League Hitter of the Week honors for the second week of games in Arizona.  During that stretch Sanchez hit .421 with 9 RBIs during the week and leads the Arizona Fall League with 5 homeruns, 15 RBIs, 16 hits, and in slugging percentage with .943.  He has yet to have a hitless game, instead having at least 2 hits in all but 2 games, those 2 games he only had 1 hit.  He is crushing right-handed pitching, hitting .483 against during the season.
