Moosic, Pa. – Curiosity may have killed the cat, but Curious George has entertained countless children. Come Saturday, March 21, and thanks to the good folks at WVIA, The Man with the Yellow Hat’s good buddy will be part of the entertainment at PNC Field when the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) hold a Family Fest from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the stadium’s Mohegan Sun Club.
The fun goes beyond monkey business too. The festivities will include face painters, balloon animals, Debby the Clubhouse Mom, and arts & crafts. Light snacks will be served. Please note, Curious George will have 30-minute meet-and-greets at 10:30 a.m.; 11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.; and 1:30 p.m.
Single-game tickets for the 2015 season will also be available for purchase for the first time. The ability to pick and choose from the season’s most highly-anticipated contests on the entire 72-game home slate runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. as well. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets online at SWBRailRiders.com, by phone at (570) 969-BALL (2255), or in person at the PNC Field box office. Current season ticket holders can beat the rush with the privilege of purchasing single-game tickets in advance, by phone only, beginning March 16. Season ticket holders will be able to pick up their 2015 season tickets during the March 21 event.
The RailRiders will have a special incentive for Opening Day tickets with a Ticket Temp Special. In-person purchases at the box office on March 21 only from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. will look to the thermometer to set the price. The price will be 10 cents for each degree Fahrenheit on the PNC Field thermometer when the windows open. So if it is 25 degrees, each ticket will cost just $2.50. Each guest will only be able to purchase a maximum of eight Opening Day tickets at the discounted rate.
Team supporters will enjoy one of the premier values in town as standard advanced ticketing will include: $7 seats for the Honda Dealers Homer Zone, $8 for bleacher seats, $10 for field reserve and the Budweiser RailHouse bar, and $12 for infield box seats.
The RailRiders open their 2015 season at home on April 9 against the Syracuse Chiefs (Washington Nationals). For more information please call (570) 969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
