Hi, what are you looking for?

Yankee Streak Continues

The streak has continued for the GCL Yankee as this was the ninth win in a row for them. The final score was six to three in a nine inning game.

What is really impressive is that there are only a few players who are having a very good start to the season.   One of those players is Austin Jones.  Jones went two for four on the day with a double which is just a typical day for Jones.

Ericson Leonora has a great day as he went two for three today.  Both hits went for extra bases as he hit a double and a homerun.     This pushes the 19 year olds line to .324/.425/.559 which is very impressive.

Jeremy Bleich again started and went two innings of work.  He struck out two batters without allowing a walk and allowed a hit.  I thought Bleich was coming back as a starter but he went only three days between appearances.  It appears that that the Yankees might have switched him to relieving.  We will just have to wait until his next appearance to see if that is the case.

Jordan Cote went five innings of work and it was his worst outing so far in his short professional career.   He gave up two runs on the day from four hits.  He only struck out two batters today but on the plus side he didn’t walk any batters.

Tomorrow the Yankees will take on the Braves at 10:00 eastern time.  They will go for a one loss month which would be very impressive.
