The New York Yankees announced that they have signed 11 players to contracts as the 2019-2020 international free agent signing period opens. Among those signed is Jasson Dominguez, the number one overall prospect in the class, who signed for a reported record-breaking $5.1 million.
The oldest player signed was Felixander Severino who is a 19-year-old centerfielder out of the Dominican Republic. He is joined by 18-year-old right-handed pitchers Gerardo Abrego from Panama, Angel Sanchez of Venezuela, and Geralmi Santana from the Dominican Republic as the oldest players signed.
The Yankees have also signed several 17-year-olds including second baseman Jeison Anillo, right-handed pitcher Jose Bernabe, catcher Jesus Bravo, left-handed pitcher Miguel Pozo as well as 16-year-old right-handed pitcher Yordi Pichardo.
