Yankees Prospects Continue To Crush AFL

Yankees Prospects Tyler Austin and Aaron Judge were standouts in last night’s game. Austin earned two runs and two RBI’s, while Judge added one run and four RBI’s.

The two players, held a strong outfield with Austin playing left field, and Judge in right. Prospects Greg Bird and Dante Bichette Jr. also got in the game. Bird was designated hitter, going 2-4 in his at bats with an RBI, while Bichette played third, batting 1-5.

It didn’t take long for the prospects to contribute. In the bottom of the first Austin singled on a hit to center field. Next at bat was Judge, who earned his first home run of the AFL season, bringing home Austin, earning him an RBI.

With loaded bases, Judge was out on a sacrifice fly, bringing home teammate Blake Miller. Bird also earned an RBI, with a line drive to right field, bringing home Scorpion player, Roman Quinn.

The seventh inning was huge for the Scorpions, earning five of their eleven runs. Austin tripled on a fly ball to center field, bringing home Quinn. Next at bat was Judge, who singled on a hit to right field, earning an RBI as Austin made it home for his second run.

Prospect pitcher, Caleb Cotham, entered the game in the top of the fourth. He pitched two clean innings, where the Saguaros never made contact, earning no hits.

The two teams will face each other again today at 12:35 p.m. MST, with the Scorpions as the away team.
