Yankees Re-Sign RHP German to MiLB Deal

The New York Yankees announced today that they have re-signed right-handed pitcher Domingo German to a minor league contract for the 2016 season.  German, 23, was non-tendered on December 3 and became a free agent.  The Yankees originally acquired him along with Garrett Jones and Nathan Eovaldi in the trade that send David Phelps and Martin Prado to the Miami Marlins on December 19, 2014.

Domingo did not pitch at all during the 2015 regular season after under going Tommy John surgery.  He did pitch 1 inning of relief during spring training, striking out one batter, walking one and allowing a hit.  In 5 seasons in the minors he owns a 20-10 record with a 2.33 ERA over 77 games, throwing 293 2/3 innings and striking out 286 batters.?
