Yankees Select Brandon Wagner in the Sixth Round

In the sixth round of the 2015 draft the New York Yankees selected junior college infielder Brandon Wagner.  The New Jersey native was selected as a second baseman but can also play third.   Originally drafted in the 39th round of the 2013 draft by the Philadelphia Phillies it is likely he will sign with the Yankees and find himself with the Pulaski Yankees of the Appalachian League.

Brandon has shown patience at the plate and could develop power to all fields.  The Yankees of course like his left-handed swing that has power potential.  With offense and power rare nowadays this could be a big pick for the bombers if he reaches his potential.  At 19 he is one of the youngest of the college class this year, he will turn 20 in August.
