Chance Adams is a 20 year old right-handed pitcher out of Dallas Baptist University and was selected by the Yankees in the fifth round of the 2015 First-Year-Player Draft. At just six foot he is not an imposing figure on the mound. He does have a powerful fastball and slider combo that could see him rise through the farm system quickly. With the Yankees in need of right-handed relief help he is one guy that could provide that sooner rather than later.
In Chance’s lone season with Dallas Baptist he was 7-1 out of the bullpen, throwing 59 innings across 23 games and allowed 13 runs for a 1.98 ERA. The number that does stick out is his 83 strikeouts over that span. He is a guy that could start his professional career with the Staten Island Yankees.
