In the third round of the 2015 draft the Yankees took their first High School selection, drafting right-handed pitcher Drew Finley. He is the son of current Dodger’s vice president of amateur and international scouting David Finley. The Yankees like guys like this, who grew up around the game.
Drew is said to have an average fastball that sits in the 89-92 miles per hour range according to MLB.com. He also possess a curveball and changeup. He could see an uptick in his velocity as he develops but is likely a middle of the rotation candidate.
