The off-season is in full swing, the winter meetings are over and we are almost to the end of 2015. Several Yankees prospects are still playing in the Caribbean. One of them, Tyler Austin, is on his second team this off-season after playing in the Arizona Fall League for the Surprise Saguaros he is now in Venezuela playing for Aguilas de Zulia.
With Zulia, Austin has appeared in 8 games. In those 8 games he has 7 hits, 4 of them were doubles and he drove in 4 runs while walking twice. His most recent game came on December 11 when he went 0-for-4.
Newly acquired catcher Francisco Diaz has been playing for Bravos de Margarita this off season. In 13 games he has a .278 batting average with a double and 2 RBIs. Teodoro Martinez is hitting .246 over 48 games with 46 hits, 4 doubles, 2 triples and 16 RBIs for Tigres de Aragua.
